That said, since their coding isn't always scalable, things can still feel like they are running slowly or lagging. The technology, specifically the hardware, is incredible with each new model, but they have been over-spec for a good while now. People want their apps to be playable by everyone who can possibly get access, not just the people who have the absolute cutting edge phone. I think it's in large part to not wanting to separate one phone too far out in advance of any other existing model that people are still using. The hardware is basically completely underutilized by the vast majority of apps and crazy under utilized by the operating system itself. This is the real problem iOS currently suffers from.
